I tried Eurasia Spa at the suggestion of a friend and it was amazing! The spa is small and intimate with very soothing colors and a wonderful aroma. I felt very welcome from the minute I was greeted at the front door till the moment I left. The service was a exfoliating sugar scrub followed by a massage. My skin felt as soft as a babies and the massage was one of the most relaxing I've experienced. After my service, I was offered a drink and left to relax in the Tranquility room. I never felt rushed and felt like I could have relaxed there all day. I did take advantage of the adjoining outdoor jacuzzi and resort pool which is complimentary with any spa service. I went in sooo stressed and came out feeling like a "new" person. I can't wait to return. read more >>

I received defective eyelash extensions from Shawn and the salon owner Paula Bigos made a negative situation worse by treating me very disrespectfully. This salon does not value their clients. If you want a pleasant and HONEST salon go elsewhere. A complaint has been filed with the BBB. read more >>
KARMA STUDIO SALON

I was looking for a new salon closer to my house. The wife of my old boss, told me that Karma Salon was horrible and to never go there. But I chalked it up to her just being a snob. I really wished I'd listened to her... First of all the place super tiny, crammed and boiling hot. The woman (SABRINA FISCHER) who I paid to color my hair claimed to be a professional and experienced stylist. She turned out to be neither. All I wanted done was a simple color, no bleaching, no highlights, just one solid DARK color, with absolutely NO red in it at all. The name brand color she claimed she was using on me made my head burn like fire, which has NEVER happened to me before. I've had my hair colored several times in the past using the brand she claimed to be using with perfect results. The color is supposed to stay on for 20mins, I asked if she left it on longer would that make the results darker, she told me yes it would. She told me she was going to leave it on for 30mins, then she said she'd be right back and bailed. Twenty-five minutes into it, my head is on fire and she is nowhere to be found, nobody in the salon could find her because she was out back having a cigarette. I had to call her on my cell phone just to get her to come back inside. When I told her my head was burning, she told me it was only supposed to be on for 20mins. WTFE! After washing it and blowing it out, although I had an extremely tender head, it did look great. I asked how long should I wait to wash it, she said 24hrs. I waited 3 days just in case, 60% of my color went down the drain, and my hair is RED! My natural hair color is brown but I have a lot of natural red highlights (which is why I specifically asked her to use more blue, to eliminate the red). When I called her and told her what happened, she told me that she wanted to leave it on for 30mins but it was burning my head so she washed out after 25mins (even though it was only supposed to stay in for 20mins) and because I had her wash it out 5mins before she wanted to and 5mins after is was supposed be washed out. She wasn't gonna take responisbility for the results. And refused to fix it or even correct the now obvious red, unless I paid her again for another full color. It had only been 3 days!! The owner of the salon took no responsibility for his stylist. I ended up going to Sachi Salon in Scottsdale to have my hair fixed. Karma Salon is the worst salon I've ever had the misfortune of taking my business to. read more >>

Touch Of Tranquility

The ambiace is very soothing and the treatment was great, but the spa does not stand behind themselves. My husband has been purchasing gift cards from touch of tranquility for 3 yrs. It has become a much needed treat in the midst of our busy lives. Unfortunately I have been able to utilize my gift cards in a "timely" manner. Come to find out they expire. I have never turned a gift card around to read the fine print. For one thing, it is too small to read. Touch of Tranquility has pocketed over $200. from us. When speaking to the owner about this, his comment was "times are tough all over", and "no other spas will honor their gift cards after they expire". In addition to stating the card will expire in a year in fine print, they also state in big black bold letters "treat this like cash". Cash does not expire! I have been to other spas in town. All of which will honor there gift cards regardless of any epiration date listed. To name a few: Gadabout salon and day spa, Peaceful Spirt, Metropolis, Red Door Spa. Touch of Tranquility Spa has lost more than one valuable customer as my special spa day was usually shared with my sister in law, my daughter or a few close friends. We will take our business elsewhere! My husband and I are professionals. We are not unemployed. Yes times are tough. I guess this is how Touch of Tranquility stays afloat. How many others have lost money on "expired" gift cards? read more >>

I visited Miraval in September 2007 and really enjoyed the classes, gourmet food, cooking classes, the bed in my room (like sleeping on clouds), and the people. I didn't even think about the no-tip policy, but I'm happy for it. The campus is beautiful. I went hiking a couple times and enjoyed walking the log - some 40-50 feet up in the air. The three days there was just what I needed. read more >>
