Ocean Spa & Fitness Center at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel

The spa is a constant top performer with its services. It truly provides top massages, with the therapists having their own styles of a healing touch and warm spirit to boot. The spa has been recently redone and updated, which makes it even more relaxing. I like to spend 20 minutes or so taking in the ocean after the treatment, making the whole experience really rejuvenating! read more >>

First time to try this skincare line, which is made with lots of love and TLC by a Mom / Daughter duo, incorporating pearls, minerals, peptides, metals and even amethyst, sapphire, gold, platinum and silver! How could you not feel like a million bucks?? And my skin looked radiant. Extra special? The facial included a light Thai massage plus a facial massage that was heavenly. Extra extra special? Even gemstones / crystals placed on chakra points for light energy clearing. That's what I call a value-packed, enriching facial experience! Can't wait to return ... read more >>

The biltmore spa is a real gem in the middle of Miami. Thanks to the Miami Spa Month, I have discovered this oasis of tranquility and enjoyed their hotel pool all afternoon! The massage was superb and the mini facial left me wanting to come back for a full facial. I will definitely come back and celebrate my birthday with my husband in their couple suite. read more >>

I had a fantastic spa experience that was affordable and heavenly - the therapists were professional and had a great touch. Loved the amenities - locker room was great as well! And then I hung out at the pool and had a great gourmet dinner in the Penthouse. Played some games and listened to live music that night. Next morning I went shopping at the Outlets next door. You can't beat this kind of incredible experience - from the relaxation to the food and games to the shopping! Next time I'll take more of my friends - it's perfect for our getaway! read more >>

    on Aug 14, 2009 @ 12:25 pm

This is the spa I went to recently for a quick getaway. It's an intimate hotel, which I love, with a very cool vibe but not pretentious. There's still a warmth, even though it's all in white! The spa had a small menu but everything they do, they do well. I had a body treatment that was sublime - loved the Red Flower products and Tim really is professional and has a fantastic touch. Spend the day and lounge by the pool. It's a great retreat. read more >>

Eurasia Spa / Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Club
    Scottsdale, AZ
    by DLMartin
    on Jul 21, 2009 @ 1:10 pm

I tried Eurasia Spa at the suggestion of a friend and it was amazing! The spa is small and intimate with very soothing colors and a wonderful aroma. I felt very welcome from the minute I was greeted at the front door till the moment I left. The service was a exfoliating sugar scrub followed by a massage. My skin felt as soft as a babies and the massage was one of the most relaxing I've experienced. After my service, I was offered a drink and left to relax in the Tranquility room. I never felt rushed and felt like I could have relaxed there all day. I did take advantage of the adjoining outdoor jacuzzi and resort pool which is complimentary with any spa service. I went in sooo stressed and came out feeling like a "new" person. I can't wait to return. read more >>

I got a faboulous massage from this excellent therapist. Daniel was absolutely amazing, caring and perfect during the whole massage. He made me feel very comfortable, and taken care of. His touch is magic. Went there other times, but other people do a ok massage only. I would not change Daniel with anyone else. read more >>

The Dan'l Webster Inn & Spa
    Sandwich Village, MA
    by CapeGal
    on May 25, 2009 @ 5:48 pm

1.May 25th, 20095:37 pmWe purchased: A Suite Deal Package Guests Included: 2 Adults. Pampering, chocolate and thou! (this was their title- didn't live up to the expectation at all.) Based on their site and the fact that I had been there before for Brunch in the beautiful conservatory as well as had a treatment at the spa in the past, The Inn was my #1 choice. When I called to book my reservation, I chatted at length with the gal, mentioning that it was my girlfriends birthday and that she would be arriving early - around 3pm and I would not get there until after work at 6pm. I even spelled my girlfriends name for the reservation. Upon arrival she was not able to get into the room as they did not have her name anywhere on the reservation- an email was sent to my home as well as a phone call was made to my cell. However I was unable to take the call because I was at work. Finally she was able to check in after my phone call-There were 3 girls behind the desk who watched my friend struggle with her luggage up the stairs without ever asking if she needed help - she then went to the spa to get a mani-pedi and was a bit undone about how she was "not welcomed" to the Inn and requested a pinot noir (red wine) while she had her pedicure. The wine came and it was a chardonnay (white wine). There was no offer to comp it or replace it, just an appology when they realized they brought the wrong wine. The manicure was botched - even after 6 hours of drying time she woke up with sheet marks on every nail - obviously too thick of a top coat. When I arrived at 6pm and was told where the room was - I looked at the stairs and asked where the elevator was-no elevator. I did ask for someone to come and help me with my bags and I was assisted. It was not however offered -I had to ask. I was also never told that the room was on the second floor or asked if that might be an issue - I had broken my ankle 9 months ago and while I can walk now - I still have an issue with stairs... Having dinner was the highlight of the stay -top notch restaurant experience. We found the room satisfactory - certainly clean and the sheets were very nice. The pillows however were hard as rocks and I found the bath tub to be very small. We checked out and were again disappointed that nothing was done about the bill or even brought up. Total cost for our package was $484 -this was for a nice (but no frills room with 2 double beds) we also spent another $142 for diner and brunch in the morning was another $74) so our stay overnight came to a total of $652 ) and while brunch was available - the conservatory had a special function and we would have to be seated in the tavern. At booking there was no mention of this, nor was it suggested that I make a reservation - luckily they fit us into the tavern. Our spa experience on Sunday was 5 star- the massages were just what we needed. We found the Inn to be less then acceptable for accommodation. - Anonymous read more >>

This Spa did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in it felt like a magical oasis with the fragrances and music you come to love when you want to relax. The tranquility lounge was amazing with all of the beautiful orchids intertwined with a unique water feature. I had a facial called the Signature Kate and it was the most blissful 80 minutes I have spent in a long time. Loved it so much I invited my mom, aunt, and cousin 2 days later for a girls day, enjoyed a massage, had lunch by the pool, and returned to my room feeling blissful once again. read more >>

I visited Miraval in September 2007 and really enjoyed the classes, gourmet food, cooking classes, the bed in my room (like sleeping on clouds), and the people. I didn't even think about the no-tip policy, but I'm happy for it. The campus is beautiful. I went hiking a couple times and enjoyed walking the log - some 40-50 feet up in the air. The three days there was just what I needed. read more >>

I was invited last minute by my husbands company while he was working a trade show, so as soon as he found out I could come he called to set up what ever spa treatments he could get. Both where magnificient. However, the pools trump the treatments. Don't get me wrong, the treatments where awesome, but with my fibromyalgia I am in the pool and hot tub almost everyday. The pool and whirlpool area is unbelievable. There is music playing underneath the water. The water falls that flow into the whirlpools are not only beautiful, but will work out any kinks. In addition to the indoor pools and whirlpools, there is a heated whirlpool outside and a fireplace. Waitstaff comes around to take food and beverage orders. The day we where leaving we purchased day passes and justed used the pools and relaxed. That alone was so wonderful. Wonderful spa, beautiful view, and very romantic. This is a spa not to me missed. read more >>

My wife and I went to this spa after the spa we originally intended to visit called and canceled on us (with only 2 hours notice). I-spa was accomodating, incredibly nice, and really cared. My wife said her massage was the best she's ever had. Mine was good (although not the best ever). I will heartily reccomend the I-Spa to anyone visitng the SF area. The hotel, the Intercontinental is quite nice as well. read more >>

wow - this is an unbelievable treatment. i was washed and scrubbed inside this water capsule that looks like a spaceship. the lid closes (it wasn't claustrophobic at all)and water jets start hitting you from above and below, then the showerheads above go on, there's steam and some sort of heat too. it's so fun and so relaxing! then the therapist massages you (and you can barely get up from the capsule you're so relaxed!). all of the products smell incredible!! read more >>

Since this was a last-minute trip, I was initially quite disappointed to be able to book only this body treatment. (It seemed overpriced, and the written description didn't do it justice.) But I think now it was worth every penny! I'm not big on exfoliation, but the gentle brushing (they give you the brush at the end) was brief, and the rest of it was indeed heavenly (it's part of the spa's "Heaven" series). Although this treatment was the highlight of my stay, the staff throughout the hotel and spa didn't seem to be on the same page when it came to reconciling package elements. For instance, we had to stay on our toes and keep track of "vouchers" for treatments that were included in our booking, instead of staff being able to take care of that for us electronically. Advice: request treatment appointments at least a month in advance. The newly renovated facilities are gorgeous, and, as such, have become an even more popular local getaway. read more >>

The lights were far too bright in the room for what should have been an intimate treatment. The hallway outside was noisy, and my service provider (forgot her name) was way too loud chatty and really sucked all of the mystery out of the experience (she was not indigenous, and seemed to be reading from a "cheat sheet" when I wasn't looking). I got to take home a neat little animal totem stone, but, overall, I'd say skip this treatment. read more >>

Decided to give this place a shot beause of a friend's recommendation. She's a loyal I-Spa Member and comes here very very often for her mani pedis, massages and facials (she swears by the Ip5 Pro Peel!!!) Let me start off by saying that I was in a really bad mood that day and just wanted some well needed peace and quiet and a relaxing mani pedi!! I that so much for a girl to ask?!?!?! By the time I walked out..... It was a whole new day and all my troubles were lifted!! (haha sounds corny but I'm SERIOUS!!!) So back to my experience... as soon as I walked in I was really impressed by the gorgeous and tranquil atmosphere of the spa. The front desk greeter was very warm and welcoming and just what I needed on this day. I was half hour early for my treatment and I knew that they have a beautiful spa terrace so I asked if I could relax outside while I waited. O-M-G... gorgeous!! IT was a BEAUTIFUL day outside and I sat in a comfy chair reading my book and sipping tea while I waited... I mean, come on now!!!... what other downtown San Francisco hotel has a huge, reaxing outdoor terrace as part of their spa. Apparently you can order off a spa cuisine menu here and take yoga classes too (MY NEXT ISPA EXPERIENCE!!!!!!) My day was already getting better at this point. The mani/pedi room is just a little jewel of a place!!!! So unlike the loud, obnoxious salons with the TVs blasting and distracting, stress inducing neon lights!!!!!!! Thank God. The walls are adorned with very pretty blue tile and candles lined against the wall. The seating is also unlike many other spas. You take your seat on what feels like a comfy and plush couch. Huge pillows sit on a soft bench and you can adjust them to your comfort level. My manicurist was very sweet and very concerned about my comfort level and needs. I sat for the first 10 minutes with my feet soaking in a luxurious bath of warm water and bath salts. Aside from the usual trimming, filing, and sloughing I opted for a leg scrub. It was well worth it and I left the spa with baby soft legs and feet! OK, SO MY FAVORITE PART OF THE PEDICURE...... AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING FOOT MASSAGE!!! She combined a sweet lavendar frangranced lotion with some type of oil and lathered it on just PERFECTLY!!! OMG I could have fallen asleep there and woken up the next day. Bad mood?? OVER IT!!!! They offer magazines if you choose but I was too relaxed to even read. I just wanted to sit there and enjoy. The manicure was just as delicious!! One thing I REALLY really liked about this spa is that they didn't do my manicure and pedicure at the same time. I was able to savor every single moment of this well worh it spa experience. As with a lot manicures and pedicures, they have a tendency to make you feel rushed and anxious. You know they want you outta there ASAP so they can move on to the next victim for those few extra bucks. THIS WAS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE AT I-SPA. Besides for the awesome treatment I received, my polish on my toes and hands was flawless and I loved how she made sure that it was perfect. God Bless her! Bottom line... I am thrilled and excited that I found my "new favorite spa" and will be coming back at least once every two weeks. P.S. It's been at least 6 days since my manicure and NOT ONE SINGLE CHIP!!! Wooo hooooooo. If that's not a reason to keep going back then I don't know what is!! read more >>

I loved the CARITAS signature facial. I've never experienced an exfoliation service like that - she uses her hands and it's a unique process to Caritas. Wild! I recommend this. The bath was very unique as well - the oxygen bubbles were so dense that i couldn't see my hands under the water! Gorgeous meditative room and unique experience. Recommended... read more >>

I-Spa is one of the best experiances that I have had at a spa. I will just do a step by step rating of this place. You walk into a very modern, clean space. You sit down and fill out a short for on where it hurts, what zit you need to have popped, ect ect. Then they take you to the locker room area. Although the lockers are a little bit cramped, who cares, its a locker for christ sakes. I am just going to throw my crap in it an lock it. There are robes and sandals in there for you to change into as well. The steam room is quite nice and is super close to the showers so if you like to do the jumping into the cold shower thing after a steam it is great. There are all of the immenities that you need in there, including razors. The lounge is super nice and relaxing. It has nuts and tea and spa water and elixers for you to enjoy and to read up about. There are also magazines if that is what floats your boat. The treatment was excellent. I had Valarie for my facial and Gary for my massage. Gary is really good at body work. He is able to keep you relaxed while getting all of the kinks out, which is a hard feat to accomplish. It was awesome. Valarie is extreamly well versed in skincare. She explained my skin type and what I needed to do on a daily basis to keep my skin looking good. I came out of the facial looking like a million bucks, it was awesome. read more >>

So I broke up with my boyfriend the other night, its nice when you have a pizza in hand and then you realize that you are dating a deuche and have to carry a pizza across town, what its still food and the fact that I didn’t throw it at him is a good thing. So I decided today that I need to turn a new leaf and start treating myself better. I decided to go to i-spa and get the whole shebang, nails, massage, scrub, this was especially good since it got the smell of that asshole off of me, and a facial. It was awesome. First off I went in and was received with a warm hello. It was nice. I filled out a brief form and then was shown to there locker room. They have a swiss shower! So the best thing in the world. The relaxation area was nice, it had teas, good ones I might add, and elixirs, fruit and nuts. It was great for a little snack. I was then taken to the room. I went into the massage first, then the scrub, awesome how smooth I am now, then the facial and the nails. Massage and scrub were excellent, which is expected from a spa. I had Lenira. She can rub you the right way. The scrub was cool because I got rinsed off in the vichy shower, which is fancy for a shower on a table. I liked it a lot. The facial was done by Janine. This women knows her skin. She suggested that I get the IP5 peel, since it takes off the outer layer of skin and leaves you with a luminous glow. It was great, it feels a bit weird the second day but by the third you look awesome. Nails were great. I got the full spa manicure and pedicure which was great, it included scrub and parrifin dip, so awesome. I never knew that your cuticles did not have to be so large. It was great. The whole experience was so great. I will suggest this place to everyone. I am so happy that I have a new me to go with being single. Maybe I will get a new someone else looking and feeling this good. Getting your self to look awesome = spending a bit of green, not to much I might add Feeling awesome = a bit of a sacrifice of time Dumping your lover = priceless read more >>

This involved cleansing, a form of supersonic microdermabrasion (not like the Clarisonic) and a muscle lift treatment that sculpts and lifts. I am feeling it fully in my neck right now! The spa is gorgeous, mostly all white, and they really know what they're doing. Highly recommend trying it. I am booking a service next for the Hammam, as that seemed like a WOW treatment, too. read more >>
