Finding the internal beauty of yourself and others around you is the key to seeing life in its most pure and beautiful form. Finding your inner glow, your inner spirit doesn’t always come easy to us as we rush to keep up with the daily chaos of life and hustle to our jobs, or stress because perhaps we do not have one. But, through moments of quiet solitude and inner reflection, we rediscover ourselves – our purpose, our spirit, our own beauty. That is more important to me than cultivating the beauty of your outward appearance. Someone beautiful on the outside but dull or dark or desperately unhappy on the inside doesn’t make a beautiful person. And, beauty is over rated these days. I personally love to find the beauty in the soul, because that is what radiates to the outward self, and that is what I feel is the ultimate beauty goal for us all. Whether or not someone has crow’s feet, problem acne, a little too much weight, etc. – is it really that important? The most beautiful people are the ones who shine from within. Of course, the spas and the beauty products are there to help you look and feel your best, but there is little effectiveness without a beautiful spirit to begin with. Truth be told, a beautiful inner spirit doesn’t come easy for most of us, but it can be achieved. I’m practicing everyday to find greater self awareness and I am working to hone my inner spirit through meditation, reflection and quiet moments. Sure, maybe a day or two I might be a little too time-pressed or rushed, however, I jump back on track and take those moments for myself – to work on myself. I’ve been doing this for some time now, and I’ve never felt better. I am feeling a peace of mind, and of spirit, that was really hard to find a few years ago. Finding my inner spirit and working on improving it and making it that much more light and powerful - everyday - has been the best important beauty goal I’ve made for myself. I still go through the five-pound swing, battle acne here and there, have to motivate myself some days to do something physical, but overall I’m feeling really healthy, more radiant. I’d love to hear how you work on yourself, too, in terms of finding your inner beauty. This month and over the summer, join me on this process. And please take a moment to answer this month’s Monthly Question and Poll so we can all learn from each other. Just remember to not only find your inner beauty, but find others’ too.
See you at the spas -
